AppFamily Medicine

Family medicine doctors, or primary care providers, are your partners in person-focused (not disease-oriented) healthcare. They deal with a wide range of medical issues, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, disease prevention, obstetrics and gynecology, health maintenance, dermatology and skin checks, counseling, and patient education. AppFamily Medicine providers can also make home visits and treat their patients while in the hospital.

AppFamily Medicine is proud to offer comprehensive primary care for your whole family, while also training the best and brightest young doctors through the MAHEC Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. This program will increase access to care for our rural populations. Join our resident doctors the first Saturday of each month at the Greenway at 9 a.m. to Walk with a Doc. 

Women’s Health & Prenatal Care: Many of our Family Medicine doctors provide OB/GYN care and are accepting new patients.

Pediatrics in Boone: AppFamily accepts new pediatric patients, infant to adolescence, in addition to adults. We want to be your whole family’s medical home here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
