Therapy Pool
The Rehabilitation Center in Boone offers a Therapy Pool for Rehab patients. We offer an onsite locker room, two private single stall restrooms with showers and towels. Our therapists are trained to help you with our state-of-the art pool equipment. (An evaluation with one of the therapists will help determine if aquatic therapy would be beneficial for you. Pool Features
- Water Depth: 3-5 foot water depth allows for varied weight bearing options for optimal benefit from water buoyancy.
- Stairs and Lift Chair provide easy access for all patients.
- Underwater Treadmill allows gait training with reduced weight bearing for those that have weight bearing limitations related to pain, surgery, or injury.
- Underwater camera provides live visual feedback to the patient and therapist to improve gait mechanics and reduce pain.
- Size of pool allows full immersion with full body motion for maximal patient benefit for a wide variety of diagnosis.
